Day in City Garden Grand Hotel
I recently had the pleasure of staying at a five-star hotel in Manila, and I must say, it was an experience worth sharing. Located in the best part of town for walking, this hotel offers unparalleled convenience and luxury. Location: The hotel's location is unbeatable for those who enjoy a good stroll. Situated on a prime walking street, it allows guests to explore the vibrant cityscape, bustling with shops, cafes, and cultural landmarks. For those who prefer public transportation, the nearby subway station makes it easy to avoid traffic and reach any destination within the city swiftly. Accommodations: The rooms are the epitome of luxury, blending modern amenities with elegant decor. My room was spacious, with a comfortable king-sized bed, a well-appointed bathroom, and a stunning view of the city skyline. The housekeeping staff ensured that everything was immaculate throughout my stay. Amenities: The hotel offers a wide range of amenities designed to cater to both leisure and business travelers. The spa and wellness center provided a perfect retreat after a day of exploring, while the rooftop pool offered breathtaking panoramic views of Manila. For those on business, the state-of-the-art conference facilities and high-speed internet access were invaluable. Dining: The dining options within the hotel were exceptional. The main restaurant served a delightful array of local and international cuisine, with a breakfast buffet that was both extensive and delicious. The hotel's lounge bar was an ideal spot for evening cocktails, offering a relaxing ambiance and impeccable service. Service: From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was memorable. The concierge was incredibly helpful in arranging city tours and recommending the best local attractions. The check-in and check-out processes were seamless, and every staff member I encountered was courteous and professional.

The hotel staff were exceptional, providing warm, attentive service throughout our one-week stay. When our air conditioning broke, they quickly accommodated us by transferring us to a larger, brighter room, which made a big difference in our comfort. Dining Highlights: Breakfast was a standout feature. The buffet was extensive, with a wide variety of delicious options—by far the best breakfast we had during our trip. Additionally, the Firefly rooftop restaurant not only served excellent food but also offered breathtaking views of the Makati skyline. Overall: Despite some initial hiccups, the excellent service, fantastic dining options, and vibrant rooftop experience left us with mostly positive memories. If you’re looking for good food and great views, City Garden Grand Hotel won’t disappoint, but be prepared for a few inconveniences like noise and occasional delays.

I loved the look and feel of the hotel but most of all it was the staff. MC, Rode, Mac aka Maverik, the young lady Who was the hostess at the rooftop bar that I saw every morning around 8 AM I don’t remember her name offhand. And of course the young lady the manager at the upstairs restaurant she was always very polite everyone seemed to be happy working there and she did a great job of taking care of all of the guest. But your staff was fun and that was my first trip to Mānoa and things to the staff it will not be my last iamb highly recommending your hotel to everyone that I know and when I return I will definitely be staying with you guys again. And for the other staff members that I didn’t mention by name I do apologize but just know that you did a wonderful job also.

Our stay was pleasant and enjoyable overall, with some highlights and minor setbacks: Staff: Exceptionally helpful and accommodating, always checking if assistance was needed. Breakfast Buffet: Decent selection, sufficient for a satisfying breakfast. Firefly Roofdeck: The staff worked hard to accommodate both hotel and walk-in guests despite the peak season rush. Food variety was good, though on the pricier side. Pool Area: Beautiful views, but lacks privacy since it’s right beside the roof deck. Towels and robes are conveniently provided. Overall Verdict: Despite a few inconveniences, we were satisfied with our 2-night stay. The service and amenities were good enough for a relaxing New Year’s getaway.

Very good buffet breakfast. Our room was on 29th floor with excellent Manila skyline view. There is better view at roof-top bar on the 32nd floor. Very spacious room. Room equipped with kettle, tea and coffee. Electric sockets are universal that you don't need converters. Bathroom is very modern and clean with good quality utensils. Helpful staff, we had a half day late check out with reasonable price. Hotel is at the heart of Makati which is modern part and business center of Manila City; it takes 25-30 minutes from/to airport by taxi and costs approx. 300-400 pesos per trip. Overall very cosy 5 star hotel that we enjoyed it so much.
